General Information on Tax Exemptions

This website provides AT&T customers with a simple, state-of-the-art process to manage their tax exemption questions and requests. There are tools available to assist with determining exemption eligibility and to apply for changes in account exempt status. AT&T is legally required to charge the appropriate taxes on all transactions subject to tax except when a transaction is deemed exempt under a federal, state, or local jurisdiction's statutes.

In compliance with the laws and regulations published by the various jurisdictions, AT&T customers must then provide to AT&T any required documentation before taxes can be exempted from the bill/invoices and/or a sales transaction.
